Abraham is one of the most important figures in the Bible. He is considered the father of the Jewish people and is also revered by Christians and Muslims.
According to the Bible, Abraham was born in the Ur of the Chaldeans in what is now modern-day Iraq. He was called by God to leave his homeland and journey to a new land, which God promised to give him. Abraham obeyed God's call and traveled to Canaan, a land that was then inhabited by the Canaanites.
In Canaan, Abraham and his wife Sarah had no children. However, God promised Abraham that he would have a son, and he eventually fulfilled this promise by giving Sarah a son named Isaac. Abraham also had a son named Ishmael with his concubine Hagar.
Abraham is known for his faith and obedience to God. He was willing to sacrifice his son Isaac at God's command, and he never wavered in his trust in God. Abraham is also a symbol of hope and promise, as God promised him that his descendants would inherit the land of Canaan.

Going further back, prior to the flood, Abraham was a descendant of Seth, who was the third son of Adam.
After the Lord chose Abraham, he was promised a son. His son would be Isaac, and he would carry on his legacy. Jesus Christ would come through Abraham's line.
