Clymene was the daughter of the Titans Oceanus and Tethys, which made her an Oceanid. She became the goddess of renown, infamy, and fame, married the Titan Iapetus, and bore him four sons:
- Atlas
- Epimetheus
- Prometheus
- Menoetius
She also had a son with Helios.
