JP Morgan was an American financier, banker, and philanthropist. He was a dominant figure in American finance for much of the Gilded Age, and his firm J.P. Morgan & Co. helped to create modern-day investment banking.

Morgan was born in Hartford, Connecticut, to Junius Spencer Morgan and Juliet Pierpont. His father was a successful banker and financier, and Morgan was groomed from a young age to follow in his footsteps.

He attended Columbia University for two years but left to work in his father's bank.

Morgan quickly rose through the ranks of the bank, and he became a partner in 1861, at the dawn of the Civil War.

He was a shrewd businessman, and he helped to make the bank one of the most successful in the world. He was also a major investor in railroads, steel, and other industries.

Morgan was a powerful and influential figure in the business world. He was known for his ruthlessness and his willingness to take risks. He was also a philanthropist, and he donated generously to charities.

Morgan died in 1913 at the age of 75.

Amelia Sturges (1835-1862) - Amelia was born in New York City in 1835. She was the daughter of a wealthy merchant. She married John Pierpont Morgan in 1861. They had one child, Junius Spencer Morgan II, who died in infancy. Amelia died of tuberculosis in 1862.

Frances Louisa Tracy (1842-1924) - Frances was born in New York City in 1842. She was the daughter of a prominent lawyer. She married John Pierpont Morgan in 1865. 

Children:

Louisa Pierpont Morgan (1866-1946) - Louisa was the eldest child of John Pierpont Morgan and Frances Louisa Tracy. She was a philanthropist and a supporter of the arts. She was also a patron of the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Anne Tracy Morgan (1867-1945) - Anne was the second child of John Pierpont Morgan and Frances Louisa Tracy. She was a philanthropist and a supporter of women's rights. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

John Pierpont Morgan Jr. (1867-1943) - John Pierpont Morgan Jr. was the third child of John Pierpont Morgan and Frances Louisa Tracy. He was a banker and financier who followed in his father's footsteps. He was also a philanthropist and a supporter of the arts.

Juliet Pierpont Morgan (1870-1952) - Juliet was the youngest child of John Pierpont Morgan and Frances Louisa Tracy. She was a philanthropist and a supporter of the arts. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Siblings:

Sarah Spencer Morgan (1839 - 1896) - She met and married her husband. The two had two children.

Mary Lyman Morgan (1844 - 1919) - She was well-known and married a wealthy man. The two had three children together. 

Junius Spencer Morgan (1846 - 1858) - He did not live long. He died at 11 years of age. 

Juliet Pierpont Morgan (1847 - 1923) - She may have not married or had any children. She lived long enough to see her brother ascend to the top of his field and become one of the most influential men in America.
