DNA Testing
Genealogy has changed for the better over the past decade with the addition of DNA research.
DNA research allows one to find their roots and what parts of the world their blood flows and since there have been many individuals who have taken the DNA test it allows your to connect with relatives that you did not know that you had. Never underestimate the benefit of a cousin. They may have information, pictures, etc that you don't.
With DNA testing it allows you to possibly connect the dots on others who are related to that same Revolutionary War ancestor. Perhaps they have access to wills or other important information.
The Ancestry DNA testing is about as easy as it gets. You spit and shake and then send it back to Ancestry. Take a look at the video above which shows me taking the test.
