Edward Fuller, along with many other Pilgrims and Strangers, sailed to the New World. While they are considered English, and eventually Massachusetts would become a British colony, these folks were sailing to get away from their mother country and attempt to have a better life.
What they would endure would be a hard winter with many deaths. They struggled to cultivate the land, and if the Wampanoag Tribe, led by Chief Massasoit with his companions Samoset and Squanto, they may have gone the way of the Roanoke Colony and not survived.

Family Overview
Edward Fuller was one of the passengers on both the Speedwell and the Mayflower.
He fled persecution from England to Holland, where he joined the Congregation under Pastor John Robinson. During the organization of the trip to the New World, Edward, his wife, and their son planned to board and sail the ocean together.
The couple would leave an older son who was married behind.
The Speedwell would spring a leak, and passengers would be transferred to the Mayflower for the remainder of the voyage. Once they arrived, the couple would not last the first winter and unfortunately died.
Their son stayed with his uncle after their death. Their son Samuel would be one of the last surviving passengers on the Mayflower.
Edward Fuller signed the Mayflower Compact
